Bold faith must be attached to something. It’s not a product of the mind. It isn’t a product of will power. Bold faith comes from the heart of man. It doesn’t make sense because it’s not based on anything sensual…meaning it’s not based on anything that can be substantiated by our 5 physical senses. Bold faith is born from the Holy Spirit revealing the truth of God’s Word to us in such a way that we no longer believe it to be true. We know it to be true. Nothing can stand against the Word of God revealed to the spirit of man.

Defeat your thoughts of defeat with the Word of God. In my own life, the devil tends to ramp up his activity in my life the closer I get to the realization of answered prayer. When those all too familiar thoughts of defeat intensify and that voice in my ear says’ “It’s not going to work….you’re not good enough…give up and try something else” I know that victory is at hand. Learn to defeat your thoughts of defeat, knowing that the Word of God is the truth and the enemy’s voice is spewing lies. Stand on God’s Word. It will never let you down.

Faith works when the Word of God is revealed. For instance, you can’t have faith to be healed of a debilitating illness unless you know that it’s God’s will to heal you of said illness. You can’t have faith to believe for the salvation of a loved one unless you know God’s Will concerning the salvation of the loved one. Faith doesn’t hang on thin air. It has to be attached to something. That “something” is the Word of God that is revealed to your spirit.

Our safe haven in a world of turmoil is our Father, God. That goes without saying, but so few see Him as the safe haven when in the midst of a storm in life. Study the Gospels and you’ll find that Jesus was never stressed out. He was never in a hurry. He commanded the circumstances of life around Him. In Luke 10:19, right before He left He said, “My peace I give unto you“. We as His children have the ability to navigate the storms of life the same as Jesus did. The key is our continued reliance on and confidence in the Word of God in the midst of every challenge of life.

Quitting is not an option for the born again believer who finds his or her strength in the Word of God. Sure life may be tough. Sure we may feel disoriented. But quitting, especially when the creator of heaven and earth is our Father should, never be an option. Question: When did God quit and give up on you? Personally, I was a great sinner. I had perfected some sins. I even recruited others to sin along with me. But for all those years, God was faithful. He never gave up on me. You might have a similar story. Let’s give Him honor by never giving up on Him or what He has spoken to us. His Word is truth. If He has spoken it, He will bring it to pass in your life.

By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God…” (Hebrews 11:3). Understanding a certain issue can sometimes come down to simply trusting in the fact that we don’t understand. Understanding is nice to have, but not necessary in other to live a victorious life here on earth. We don’t fully understand 99% of the tools we use on a daily basis, yet we don’t allow our lack of understanding stand in the way of us benefiting from them. The Word of God is life to those who find it and health to all their flesh (Proverbs 4:22). It ministers to your spirit. It reveals itself to you differently each time you pick it up. It has the abilities to solve all the issues facing mankind. It is the Book of Wisdom and Life. Meditation in it will teach you how to deal wisely in the affairs of life.

The source of anxiety is stepping from a solid platform onto an unstable, unknown or untrusted platform. For the Christian, our solid platform is God’s Word. Nothing in the Universe is as sound, reliable or dependable as the Word of God. So again, for the Christian, why would there ever be a temptation to leave that which is substantial and migrate over to that which isn’t? If you want to eliminate anxiety, fear and instability in your life, step back over onto God’s Word. Is there really another viable option?

Safety and security from the many threats and dangers in life can only come through God’s Word. Anything outside of the Word of God can only give a false sense of security. The scriptures say that He upholds all things by the Word of His Power (Hebrews 1:3). Anything that we place our trust in to safeguard our family, our assets, or our possessions is subject to this world. Likewise anything that is subject to this world and this world system is dependent upon the frailties of mankind.
