Focus your attention on the things of God and you’ll deal with problems with the greatest of ease. Why and how can this be? Because your problem will become a blur. It’ll be reduced to background noise in your life. The bible has a lot to say about the mind and what we focus our attention on. Colossians 3:2 tells us to set our minds on things above, not on earthly things. When we set our minds on something, everything else becomes a blur and what we focus on becomes larger than life. When we set our minds on the Word of God the walk of faith becomes a cake walk.

Circumstances of Life Don’t Dictate My Degree of Passion

Circumstances of life are a mute point. They are a non-issue. They don’t cancel out or nullify what God’s Word has to say about a situation. My passion about life and the things God created me to be should not be hindered or hampered by the circumstances of life. When the things I battle against in life loom larger than the passion I have for becoming who God created me to be, the doors to depression, anxiety, and hopelessness fly open.

It Doesn’t Make Sense

It doesn’t make sense. Never has there been a statement more true. The things of God don’t make sense. They make faith. Faith is foreign to our senses. Therefore when our senses attempt to make sense of something outside of their 5 areas of influence, they can sometimes go belly up on us. To walk by faith (2 Corinthians 5:7), we must leave the realm of the senses. We’re not moved by what we see. We’re not moved by what we feel. We’re only moved by what we believe. Living the lifestyle of faith means we aren’t ruled by the senses. And yes, it doesn’t make sense.
