Never Fear – God is on the Throne

Never fear…..this simple statement seems like an impossibility to some. We’re living in challenging times. In some instances it seems like the spirit of common sense and decency left to room long ago. But never fear….God is still on the Throne. If we read the back of the book we know that no matter how bad things may look, the Kingdom of God will rule and reign in the end. Seek First The Kingdom

Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you…Matthew 6:33. Priorities are important to God. I think sometimes that we can become consumed with the affairs of life and in the process, our priorities can become misplaced. Living life within the context of the will of God, dictates that we seek the kingdom of God first. The kingdom of God is the “government” in which we were born into when we became Christians (Colossians 1:13). It means seeking God’s way of doing things in any given situation. Worry about the future blinds us to the present and the presence of God in our day to day lives.

Characteristics of a Good Church: Church Growth

church growthChurch Growth is something that should take place organically. Church Growth is the byproduct of the presence of God. Your church should be growing daily, weekly, monthly and yearly. Why would you want to be a part of a church that’s stagnant?

Several times in the bible it says that the Word of the Lord went forth and people were added to the church. Now, if the Word of the Lord is supposedly going forth out of your church, yet people aren’t being added to it, you might want to ask yourself why? I can’t find anywhere in scripture where it says the Word of the Lord went forth and things remained the same.
