The renewed mind dominates the issues of life. So many times in scripture we are implored to change our mindset. It can be argued that the number one quest for the Christian is to think Christ-like. To approach life with a different outlook. The scripture tells us to set our minds on things above, and not on things on the earth (Colossians 3:2). The very root of the word “repent” means to change your mind. When we change our minds and think differently, our bodies have no choice but to fall in line and obey the dominant thought.

Seeking Jesus and becoming more like Him is a never-ending, life long pursuit. The things of God aren’t just plopped down in our laps. If we want to be “disciples indeed“, the truths revealed in God’s Word must be pursued. Countess times in scripture we see verses that talk about the benefits of seeking after God. Victorious Christian living is not the default result of being born again. If we want to see the hand of God move mightily in our lives, the ways of God and the blessing He has stored up for us must be mined daily.

Characteristics of a Good Church: Church Growth

church growthChurch Growth is something that should take place organically. Church Growth is the byproduct of the presence of God. Your church should be growing daily, weekly, monthly and yearly. Why would you want to be a part of a church that’s stagnant?

Several times in the bible it says that the Word of the Lord went forth and people were added to the church. Now, if the Word of the Lord is supposedly going forth out of your church, yet people aren’t being added to it, you might want to ask yourself why? I can’t find anywhere in scripture where it says the Word of the Lord went forth and things remained the same.
